For more than two decades, Claremont Dental has been built on a simple belief:
Good dentistry starts with knowing the person, not just the problem.
Today, Claremont Dental is independently owned and led by husband-and-wife dentists Dr Dominic Etheridge and Dr Kate Etheridge - bringing almost 50 years of dental experience between them.
But the story of Claremont Dental is about more than years in dentistry. It's about the people they've cared for, the relationships they've built and the standards they've chosen to maintain along the way.
It started with experience.
Dom has been practising dentistry for 23 years, while Kate brings 24 years of experience to Claremont Dental. Both began their dental careers in the United Kingdom before building their professional lives in Perth.
Kate graduated from the University of Dundee in 2003 and, after three years practising in Cornwall, moved to Perth in 2006. Dom's career has similarly been shaped by a commitment to experienced, considered dentistry and long-term patient relationships.
Before becoming the sole owner of Claremont Dental, Dom was part of a partnership with two other experienced
reconstruction dentists from 2017 to 2019.
A new chapter for Claremont Dental.
In 2019, Dom became the sole owner of the practice.
This was an important point in the evolution of Claremont Dental.
It gave Dom the opportunity to shape the practice around the way he believed dentistry should be delivered - with experience, attention to detail, honest advice and genuine long-term relationships with patients.
It was also during this period that we developed #openup - a campaign built around a simple invitation:

The campaign became an expression of something that had always been at the heart of the practice: making it easier for people to have an honest conversation about their dental health.
And then came Kate.
In November 2023, Kate officially joined Dom at Claremont Dental after 14 years running her own successful dental practice.
For Dom and Kate, bringing their professional lives together was a natural next step.
Kate brings her own areas of experience and interest, including preventative and restorative dentistry, cosmetic restorative procedures and children's dentistry.
Her approach is grounded in the same values that have shaped Claremont Dental: listen carefully, understand the individual and provide thoughtful care that is right for the patient.
Together, Dom and Kate bring different experiences, perspectives and areas of expertise to the practice.
But they share the same belief about what good dentistry should feel like.
Experience is knowing when to do more. And when not to.
Over the years, Dom and Kate have developed strong relationships with specialists across dentistry, including prosthodontics, orthodontics, endodontics and periodontics.
They are comfortable referring when they know another practitioner can provide a level of care that is more appropriate for a patient's specific needs.
Many of the specialists they work with are people they know personally and trust to care for their patients with the same level of attention and detail they would expect for themselves.
Because experience isn't about believing you have to do everything.
It's knowing when someone else can do it better.
Today, Claremont Dental is about more than Dom and Kate.
A great dental practice is a team effort.
Alongside Dom and Kate is a team of dentists, oral health therapists, dental hygienists, dental nurses and administration and front-of-office professionals who all play an important role in the patient experience.
From the first phone call to the dental chair and beyond, every person contributes to the way Claremont Dental looks after its patients.
Because looking after you isn't just the dentist's job. It's everyone's job.
Looking after people for the long term.
Claremont Dental isn't trying to be the biggest dental practice in Perth. It's about building something much more personal.
A practice where people feel comfortable asking questions.
Where treatment is recommended because it's right for the patient - not because it's there to be sold.
Where preventative care matters.
Where experience matters.
Where the team knows when to refer.
And where patients can build a relationship with the people looking after their dental health.
That's the Claremont Dental story so far.
