Dr Shanash Bishnulall

Dr Shanash comes to Claremont Dental with Bachelor degrees in both French and Anatomy, as well as a Masters in Public Health from the University of Western Australia. She then moved to the East Coast where she completed her dental degree at the University of Sydney. But Sydney was only a temporary stop for Dr Shanash, as practicing back in her hometown was always on the cards.

Shanash's particular clinical interests lie in wisdom teeth removal, neglected dentitions and all aspects of general dentistry. She also takes a keen interest in techniques that guide and calm anxious patients during treatment. Routinely using nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and other medications to aid relaxation for patients. Commitment to community is also an important part of Shanash’s day to day life and is reflected in her volunteer work as a dentist with St Patricks, Healing Smiles and Homeless Connect.

As a dedicated member of the Australian Dental Association, Shanash regularly attends meetings and lectures to further her education and thinking. Outside of the surgery, you can find Shanash exploring hiking spots around with her partner Kiran, gardening and cooking at home or just getting lost between the pages of a great book.
